A new Film Bootcamp is beginning, where qualified and experienced independent filmmakers will teach the techniques behind making films. Classes will be held once a week.
At the end of the Film Bootcamp, graduates will divide into film crews and be given the opportunity to borrow the cameras, lights, and sound equipment to make their films. Our experienced instructors will be available to the groups as on-set advisors and mentors. Once shooting has completed, the film crews will be given the opportunity to use the editing computers to finish their films.
When the films are completed they will be entered into a brand new festival just for this program’s participants which will be planned with the participation of a local movie theater. The public will be invited, and a documentary about the program will be presented. The winning films will play on the big screen and be awarded cash prizes, and other awards will be given for Editing, Cinematography, etc.
The films will then be placed for viewing on the website, and will be sent to participating local television channels to air around the state.
